The Rabbits have come to graze the grass.

–Myo

The Rabbit Team is an external group of mercenaries who suppress dangerous entities, including Abnormalities and Ordeals. The unit primarily featured in-game is the Fourth Pack, commanded by Myo. They can be contracted after selecting their research in the Disciplinary Team. The player can call for the Rabbit Team by clicking the square button next to the Bullets Bar.

Members of the Rabbit Team wear black and orange armored clothing and gas masks. Their masks are shaped similarly to the head of a rabbit, including long, rabbit-like ears and glass circles over their eyes. The ears are black on the outside with orange interior. The eye design varies between members.

To call the Rabbit Team, the player must click the button with the Rabbit symbol, located next to the Bullets tab. Afterwards, the main menu of the 'Rabbit Protocol' will appear on the screen. It displays the map of the current facility, showing any departments unlocked at the moment and the number of hostile entities in the department. It has a manual at the left side of the window and on the right a caution message, as well as cost at the top right corner. The player must select at least 1 department to be able to call the Rabbit Team. After selection, the message will 'Rabbit Protocol' will flash on-screen.

Protocol Information

The window displays the following information:

  • Facility Map: The player can view a map of the current unlocked departments, including the number of Agents, Clerks, and hostile entities (such as Ordeals, Abnormalities, and their sub-entities) that are in each department. The player must select at least 1 department before calling the Rabbits.
  • Cost: The player can select up to 4 fully unlocked departments, and each selection increases the cost of the call by 25% of the energy collected during the day, up to 100% of the collected energy. The Central Command Team counts as 2 selections, with a 50% energy cost.
  • Manual and Caution: Lists information regarding the Rabbit Protocol, including the following:
    • The Rabbit Protocol can only be called once per day.
    • The minimum requirement to use the Rabbit Protocol in a department is Level 4 Expansion.
    • The Rabbits spawn in 8 group of 4 members across the indicated areas. A maximum of 32 Rabbits can be called at once.
    • The Rabbits will appear randomly in the hallways or rooms of the selected departments. Once all the entities in a department are neutralized, the Rabbit Team will withdraw.
    • The departments where the Rabbits were called into will be sealed and highlighted in orange. All the exits from the departments will teleport any entities attempting to leave to another area in the same department. Entities outside of the department can still enter the containment zone, but will also be unable to exit.
      • This does not affect teleporting entities such as Alriune. Entities which teleport after reaching an exit such as The Dreaming Current or The King of Greed, or have a "charge" attack that exits a department, remain stuck in their movement animation while attempting to leave. This may lead to a bug where they enter areas they normally cannot.
    • All the employees in the selected departments will instantly panic. Additionally, until the Rabbits leave a department, the player will be unable to remove employees or perform tasks with the Abnormalities in that department.

Rabbits Info & Behavior

The Rabbits spawn in groups of 4 members while the Protocol begins. All of them are Level 4, with 150 HP and 150 SP, but cannot receive large amounts of damage. They die immediately upon reaching 0 SP instead of panicking. The Bullets and healing from the Main Rooms do not affect them.

The player cannot control the Rabbits. They will roam the departments they were called into and attack any entities they encounter, including hostile entities and employees. They can also detect entities that employees cannot, such as Dimensional Refraction Variant.

They have 2 type of weapons: Melee Blades and Ranged Automatic Rifles. Each Rabbit does a different type of damage, which is marked on their weapons. The Melee weapon will have a 70% chance of dealing 17-19 or a 30% chance of dealing 5-7 of their respective damage type. When standing at long range they will fire their gun every 0.22 seconds, dealing 2-3 damage. They will continue firing for 4.4 seconds before reloading.

If a Rabbit attempts to exit the department they were deployed to, they will be teleported to another location in the same department. However, the Rabbits will sometimes leave the department and move to rooms adjacent to the department, including elevators and other main rooms, and attack any entities located there, such as employees.

If all the Rabbits in the same department are killed, or if all hostile entities in that department have been suppressed, then that zone will be unsealed. The Protocol ends all departments have been unsealed.

Their defenses are the following: RedDamageTypeIcon.png RED: Endured (0.6)  – WhiteDamageTypeIcon.png WHITE: Endured (0.6)  – BlackDamageTypeIcon.png BLACK: Endured (0.6)  – PaleDamageTypeIcon.png PALE: Endured (0.6)

Trivia

  • Besides the Rabbits, Myo has mentioned the "Rhinoceros" and "Reindeer" units. Both would have caused collateral damage that would've been too much for Lobotomy to handle, so only the Rabbit Team was sent.
    • Both of these teams are featured in Library of Ruina and Limbus Company.
  • The Rabbit Protocol menu shows the amount of hostile entities present in each department, including ones that cannot be normally detected, such as Meat Lantern or Dimensional Refraction Variant.
  • The Rabbit Team is reminiscent of the Mobile Task Forces of the SCP Foundation. In particular, they serve a similar function to that of Mobile Task Force Epsilon-11 (Nine-Tailed Fox), a team of elite operatives which is deployed in the event that an SCP site is compromised.
    • Notably, the Rabbit Team shares a similar color scheme to the Nine-Tailed Fox members from SCP: Containment Breach.
  • Sometimes, the Rabbits will lose their target when a unit passes through a door. When this happens, the rabbits will choose to leave directly and lift the blockade — this has been confirmed to be a design flaw of the game.
  • Sometimes, the Rabbits will leave the designated blocked department and attack any unit that appears along the way. This phenomenon is prone to occur in the Central Command Team and Architecture Team (in Challenge Mode), and has been confirmed to be a bug.
